Gorseinon, Swansea - Summary
Jayplas' new development of an advanced facility capable of processing at least 100,000 tonnes of flexible and rigid post-consumer plastic a year, boosting the circular economy in Wales.
The facility, once fully operational will reduce the carbon footprint of Wales by around 150,000 tonnes per year, the equivalent of taking 120,000 cars off the road, making a significant contribution towards zero waste and net zero emissions by 2050.
The facility will develop over three phases:
- Mixed kerbside rigid plastics and film post- consumer sorting plant
- Post-consumer bottle wash and extrusion plant
- Post-consumer Flexible packaging wash and extrusion plant
